Amazing

My dear friend Peter Steineck posted this spectacular music video on his tumblr, and I couldn't help but post it again on my little corner of the online world.

Gives me the shivers.

Some Summer Sums

Finally, summer.

1. Eating sour worms at Library Park, killing my first mosquito of the year, hugging my best homies.

2. Seeing Star Trek with Charlie at the drive-in theater. The stars blew my mind. I think I need to live at the drive-in this summer, if only to look at the sky every night. The sunset was phenomenal as well. I love Colorado.

3. Bike riding across town and back (approx. 18 miles is my guess) in 90 degree weather with Molly, Ruth, and Anna. Stopped for ice cream at Dairy Queen, took a play break/dying-of-heatstroke break at "Blind Kid Park" (Spring Creek Park). So brutal, so fun.

4. Playing with Molly while she was visiting, making the fluffiest pancakes on earth. Infinity sleepovers, P&P, being smelly, playing Sim City 4 for hours on end.

5. Birthday dance party/pinata/most boring game of star wars monopoly ever. I am the worst at pinatas... There was also a glorious fire pit/marshmallow & hotdog roastie that occurred. I'm pretty sure there was a mountain lion in the vicinity, as I heard the tell-tale cough sounds they make, and Rocket was acting super weird.

6. Actually turning 19.

7. LOST season finale

8. so much more, but I'm tired of this post already. haha.

I leave you with this video.

Today it has been raining without cease. It is beautiful, green, smells good, and sounds good.

yours, sara

Not quite sure what to think about this. For now, I'd have to say it's pretty damn EXCELLENT.

☂✂❿❧⸕⸔‡&ɠʓ➸↷𝄢

My last full week of school has passed. As I am sure many people agree, it is a bittersweet time. It's strange, but I feel almost as reluctant to leave as I did last summer, when I left home to come to Minneapolis for the first time. For those of you reading this post, I want to thank you for all of the memories I have of this place and these people (as I'm sure I already have in forrealz life, yo). This year has really been most swell, which is saying a lot, for I have many swell years behind me.

On the other hand, I can't wait for a summer of fun to begin! I guess I just wish I could have been able to leave Minneapolis a little bit later, so I could relax in a post-finals daze with the rest of my home dogs.

Enough reflection.

Here are two photographs that I took for my photo final, though I won't actually be using these particular prints. (However, they are my favorites.)

Flash Animation

Alright, so I JUST finished my flash animation for class tomorrow. It's a section of MC Chris's song, Fett's Vette. Hope you enjoy it:

Just now, Z showed me Piotr's examples for his class, and I wish I had their assignment instead of Travis'. Sorry Travis, but I'm digging the more abstract animation...

EDIT: Just watched the video in the Blogger setting, and there's TONS of lag. If you want to see the forrealz video, just tell me and I'll give you a private screening on my laptop, complete with party time.

=-=-=-

I am very tired. Soon I will sleep, only to awake early in the morning to begin a day full of work. Today whilst I was procrastinating and struggling through my still only half-finished Flash animation, I found these videos. I'm not sure entirely how I feel about them, but I think-for now-that they are beautiful, in a certain way. The music is nice, too. They are just type animations that are millions of times better than mine. I'm very tired of looking at my project, and I think that's clouding my judgment of it. I wish I could gain a renewed outlook on the damn thing, because I'm pretty sure that it's actually quite nice.

Why can't we just have snuggling and no obligations?

If anyone wants a hug this week, let me know, because I'm pretty sure I'll take one; any day, any time, any place (except for the toilet, I think).

Yours,

Sara/Fowler

P.S. Strangely, I've begun to lament the Flight of the Conchords concert, which I know I should not do. It's just that it puts such a deadline on this school year, and my time in Minneapolis. Maybe I will pack all of you wonderful people up in my mom's Bug and make you stay in Colorado all summer. We will go hiking, have fort making parties, dance parties, go backpacking, go biking, and kayaking, among other things. We would also eat tacos, I think.

I wish everyone the best of luck with finals, and living in general. Try not to frown too much!

Andres Segovia

A necessary second post for the evening.

Good night, sweet dreams.

++WATCH OUT++

Dear Friends,

As of late, I have been working on a few exciting things.

1. Flash animation of a segment of "Fett's Vette". I am very excited for this, as it appears to be the first project I've done in media worth a darn.

2. Karen and I are working on a secret project that will most surely bring joy to many a lady and gent upon its final performance(s).

3. I am very excited for Earth Day tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be kind and shine some warm bits upon our little brains. I really have been wanting to go on a bike ride, and I do hope that someone will go with me soon. If you know what I mean.

4. Drinking chocolate soy milk is wildly delightful!

5. This last week marked my first sunburn of the year, and oh! it is marvelous!

I hope you are all doing real well, swell, and nice.

Love,

Sara/Fowler

I JUST NEEDED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I AM GOING TO BONNAROOOOOO

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Brought to my Attention.

This Tauntaun sleeping bag is currently #1 on my birthday list, though a close second is this fine backpack:

Hope everyone is enjoying their spring break! (Or if you've already had one, that you're enjoying my spring break!)

Love,
Sara

EDIT: Imagine my extreme dismay and endless sadness when I find out that the Tauntaun sleeping bag is an April Fool's joke. Never again, Internet. I will never forgive you.

RuPaul

"put your stiletto to the metal and lets take this mother from zero to fabulous in 3.5 seconds"

Dear Friends,

Today has been the beginning of a week sure to be filled with joyous gallivanting and cavorting, amongst other things.

This lovely Saturday:

1. Marissa's sweet mother was kind enough to take me to the airport at 8:30 A.M. (no small feat!).

2. I was witness to an aging metal/punk/mystery rock band at the MPLS/St. Paul airport. I couldn't tell if I was supposed to think they were famous or not... They looked to be well into their 40s, but were decked out in flashy leopard-print scarves, serious business leather boots, denim vests, and some ultra sexy tight pants. They also were sporting beautiful 80s mullets and bandannas. I couldn't stop swooning!

3. Seeing my family was (of course) wonderful. I have yet to see my mom (I will see her in the morning and we will dine at Lucille's-a fantastic n'awlins restaurant...endlessly delicious!).

4. Ruth + Anna + Braden + The Bean Cycle = Much Happy. (Ruth and I have already begun making a very large list of summer activites. I will scan this soon and post it for you all to decipher.)

5. Pad Thai!!! So good. I even got to de-poop a bunch of shrimp!

6. Pride & Prejudice with Anna. I cried at the end! I couldn't believe it! I never cry in romantic movies, and I've even seen this before. I must be sick. LOVE SICK. Oh, tee hee!

This is me in my room!

Reunited at last. I will never leave you again, sweet raccoon.

ROLLEIFLEX!!!

So, more to come. I miss all of you that I've left, and I can't wait to see those of you who are here.

Love,

Sara and/or Fowler

4 FUN

Making shoes for my friend! These aren't done yet, I've just done the upper part. I still have to do the sides and heel. On the tongue is a painting of a unicorn that is pretty beautiful. Anyway, I'm at a stuck place with these, and I'm not sure if the colors are good, so if anyone has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated!!!

_____----_----=--=----=-=-=-=-+

Dear Friends,
Since I decided I should probably not write my second draft of my research paper (I mean, that's the logical thing to do, correct?), I felt the need to browse some websites in search of mildly interesting findings instead.

FIRST THINGS FIRST
Today felt like these things should have happened:

1. Tea
2. Blankets
3. Sweaters
4. Lightning
5. Snuggling

Also, my favorite mug has a crack in it, and when I poured really hot water on one of my pom glasses, it broke! Who knew!?

Back to the results of my procrastination:

1. This one is for Karen:

2. This one is for Ruth:

3. This one is for Marissa:

4. This one is for Ethan:

5. This one is for Jamie:

6. This one is for Julson:

7. This one is for ZZZZZ!:

8. And this one is for me, because I like magic A LOT:

Okay well now it is a little bit late, and nothing too exciting has happened, so I figure I should probably go to sleep. Eventually.

Best of everythings to everybody,
yours,

Sara/Fowler
